11 Months

Mio's first year outside the womb has almost come to an end, she is 11 months already and growing cheekier everyday. This year really got away with me, I planned to write down her growth and changes more regularly but seem to have got caught up in the busy-ness of life with two children.

Mio is so close to walking and loves to play peak-a-boo and hide and seek behind the furniture. She's been showing a little more interest in solids for about a month now but she still loves breastmilk more than anything. She's talking a lot now and loves to say mum and dad, and she even says something that sound quite like hello.

Like all babies, she has fallen in love with herself in the mirror and is fascinated that she can see my reflection.

The last couple of days my normally calm, content, easy going baby is a bit clingy and has lots of tears. I think she must have another tooth coming through.

Fascinated by her reflection.

Mio love's her big sister and is always watching her so she can learn about the world. I love seeing this relationship unfold.

Mio love music, she's always playing with instruments and she loves humming and singing. It seems she has a deeper connection with sound than India did as a baby.

Captivated by India playing the guitar.

I am so grateful that I get to spend my days with this beautiful and precious little person. She has made our family feel complete, and she has taught me so much about surrendering to the moment and loving every second of being a mother. Being a mother to my two girls is the most amazing thing in the world and I wouldn't trade it for anything.

  1. What wonderful girls you have. It's wonderful that you're capturing some of their precious growing up moments. Also-Mio is rocking that headscarf. Awesome.
